Archbishop Ivan Jurkovič is a Conventual Chaplain ad honorem of the Grand Cross of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta.

For merits rendered to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) Archbishop Ivan Jurkovič was awarded the Order of Grand Prince St. Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles, II degree. Archbishop Ivan Jurkovič was conferred the Order of Glory and Honour, I degree, of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In 1993-1996 Msgr. Ivan Jurkovič lectured on Canon Law at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Theological College in Moscow where he also published: Marriage Law, Moscow 1993, in Russian; Canon Law on the People of God, Moscow 1993, in Russian; Latin-Russian Dictionary of Terms and Expressions of the Code of the Canon Law (in co-authorship with A. Koval), Moscow 1995; God in its Midst, Kyiv 2011 in Ukrainian; A Quarter of Century, Moscow 2016, in Russian.

Archbishop Ivan Jurkovič is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German and Russian.
